After almost 10 years of running Skaftfell Bistro with great success the team of Hotel Aldan has now decided to pass the baton to Haukur Óskarsson. As was stated in the Icelandic media recently, Skaftfell Center for Visual Art has been in financial difficulties this year, and this has led to great uncertainty about the continuation of its operations. Following a good conversation between Skaftfell and the Minister of Education and Culture this autumn, the ministry agreed to grant emergency funding to Skaftfell.
