Autumn brings new opening hours for Skaftfell. Skaftfell Bistro: From August 31 the Bistro is open daily from 15.00, kitchen closes at 21:30. The Bistro will temporarily close from Sept 10, due to a maintenance session. The reopening will be advertised later. Gallery: The exhibition Edge Effects will be open concurrent to the Bistro opening hour, daily from 15.00-18.00. From Sept 10 the gallery will change it opening hours to Tuesday, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 15.00-18.00, until Sept 24 when the exhibition concludes. The next opening is Oct 7. Skaftfell, Center for Visual Art in East Iceland, celebrates its 20th organizational anniversary next year. To mark the occasion the center calls for proposals for the 2018 summer exhibition in the 150 sq m Skaftfell gallery. Preferably the proposal should refer to the long-term collaboration between Skaftfell and the Technical Museum of East Iceland, also located in Seyðisfjörður.
