Night Fall

Saturday October 12th from 14:00 to dusk Night Fall A live radio art performance by Anna Friz (CA) with special guest Konrad Korabiewski  (PL/DK/IS). Anna Friz has been transmitting the radio art beacon Radiotelegraph from 7.-11. October at sundown, simulcast on low-watt FM radio to Seyðisfjörður and to the experimental radio platform Radius in Chicago. The beacon signals the descent of the sun into the northern night, using spoken morse code, electronics, and shortwave signals. “Night Fall” expands from the sonic palate of the beacon in an improvised live show for unlicensed transmission, and invites the audience to  contemplate the acoustic and electro-magnetic landscape of Seyðisfjörður at dusk. Släden

Saturday October 12, 2013. With this tool, I try to explore the landscape nature in a more filmic and painterly narrative way. From 14:00-17:00, visual artist Björn Olsson (SE) will invite you into his portable studio and fieldkitchen for a presentation of his camera sled and track system for still photography called Släden (produced in 2012). At this occasion the track system will be installed in the garden area behind Skaftfell.
