Journey

A joint project of the three art institutions in East Iceland: Skaftfell, Slaughterhouse and Eiðar for the Reykjavik Art Festival 2008. Journey is intended to be a trip through the halls of surprises, a journey with the artists to their school of thought, passing corners of their minds and chambers of their souls. Icelandic Academy of the Arts, Dieter Roth Academy and Skaftfell Project realised by students of the annual collaboration course of Skaftfell, Dieter Roth Academy, Icelandic Art Academy & The Technical Museum, Seydisfjordur. The works are all made in situ, Seydisfjordur, with the help of the towns firms, garages and inhabitants, and very versatile. The exhibition is curated by Björn Roth, but planning and PR is executed solely by the students.
