Deadline September 1, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

Skaftfell – Center for Visual Art runs a residency program in Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, East Iceland.\u00a0The program is aimed at visual artists but artists working in intermediate fields are eligible to apply regardless of the nature of their primary profession or education within the arts. Group and family applications are welcome.<\/p>\n

The Skaftfell residency program aims to foster a community made up of artists and the general public in the rural setting of East-Iceland, invite artist to live and work in a unique micro community were creativity is applied to every day life, create and nurture an inspiring environment and facilitate circumstances for artists to experience, reflect and explore new angles to their artistic work and provide conditions that stimulate a dialogue between art and life.<\/p>\n

Call for applications is from June 1 with deadline September 1st.
\nApplications are not accepted at other times of the year.<\/p>\n

Each residency period is from 1 – 6 months, however applications for a residency with duration of more than 1 month are preferred.<\/p>\n
