The concert will be held at “Heima”, Austurvegur 15, and starts at 15.00.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The musician\u00c2\u00a0Prins P\u00c3\u00b3l\u00c3\u00b3<\/span><\/a>\u00c2\u00a0will this coming Saturday perform\u00c2\u00a0a solo concert in Sey\u00c3\u00b0isfj\u00c3\u00b6r\u00c3\u00b0ur. This is the last event in connection with the ongoing\u00c2\u00a0exhibition at Skaftfell\u00c2\u00a0R\u00c3\u0093 R\u00c3\u0093<\/span><\/a>\u00c2\u00a0that runs though September.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two person band\u00c2\u00a0L\u00c3\u00a9tt \u00c3\u00a1 b\u00c3\u00a1runni<\/span><\/a>\u00c2\u00a0originally was scheduled to perform but sadly they had to cancel. The Prins will take their place and perhaps\u00c2\u00a0play a few song from the glory days of the band L\u00c3\u00a9tt \u00c3\u00a1 b\u00c3\u00a1runni.<\/p>\n

Both bands were formed in Sey\u00c3\u00b0isfj\u00c3\u00b6r\u00c3\u00b0ur in the winter of 2009 when the members, Svavar P\u00c3\u00a9tur Eysteinsson and Berglind H\u00c3\u00a4sler, resided in the fjord.\u00c2\u00a0L\u00c3\u00a9tt \u00c3\u00a1 b\u00c3\u00a1runni was a collaboration between the two but\u00c2\u00a0Prins P\u00c3\u00b3l\u00c3\u00b3 was the solo project of Svavar and\u00c2\u00a0soon developed to a full band.<\/p>\n

L\u00c3\u00a9tt \u00c3\u00a1 b\u00c3\u00a1runni published one album, \u00c2\u0093Sexy\u00c2\u0094 in 2009, and a painting by local na\u00c3\u00afve artist \u00c3\u0081sgeir J\u00c3\u00b3n Emilsson is on the cover.\u00c2\u00a0The debut\u00c2\u00a0album\u00c2\u00a0by\u00c2\u00a0Prins P\u00c3\u00b3l\u00c3\u00b3 was \u00c2\u0093Einn heima\u00c2\u0094, e. Home alone, then shortly followed by the release\u00c2\u00a0of \u00c2\u0093Jukk<\/a>\u00c2\u0094 in 2010. On the\u00c2\u00a0second album the wonderful song\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u0094Skaftfell Special\u00c2\u0094 can be heard and is an homage to a pizza on the Skaftfell Bistro menu. Also the song \u00c2\u0093Ni\u00c3\u00b0r\u00c3\u00a1 str\u00c3\u00b6nd\u00c2\u0094, e. \u00c2\u0093At the beach\u00c2\u0094, that became the summer hit in Iceland in 2011.\u00c2\u00a0Their newest album “Sorr\u00c3\u00ad” was released this year.<\/p>\n

Prior to the concert the current artists in the Heima collective<\/span><\/a> will open a exhibition of the project they have been developing for the past weeks. The opening is at 14.00.<\/span><\/p>\n
