Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Workshop is two week long workshop hosted by the Dieter Roth Academy<\/a> for students from the fine art department at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Ongoing is the seventeenth workshop, since 2001, and is guided by Bj\u00f6rn Roth and Kristj\u00e1n Steingr\u00edmur J\u00f3nsson.<\/p>\n

Participating students are: \u00c1g\u00fasta Gunnarsd\u00f3ttir, B\u00e1ra Bjarnad\u00f3ttir, Camilla Patricia Reuter, El\u00edsabet Birta Sveinsd\u00f3ttir, Elsa Mar\u00eda Gu\u00f0laugs Dr\u00edfud\u00f3ttir, Hei\u00f0rikur Brynjolfur T \u00e1 Heygum, Ieva Grigelionyt\u00e9, Katr\u00edn Kristj\u00e1nsd\u00f3ttir, Krist\u00edn D\u00f3ra \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, Rannveig J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, Sigr\u00fan Gy\u00f0a Sveinsd\u00f3ttir, Valger\u00f0ur \u00ddr Magn\u00fasd\u00f3ttir, Veigar \u00d6lnir Gunnarsson, Ylfa \u00de\u00f6ll \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, \u00ddmir Gr\u00f6nvold & \u00deorgils \u00d3ttarr Erlingsson.<\/p>\n

During the workshop students are introduced to the practise of Swiss artists Dieter Roth and the special surroundings that Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has to offer. Skaftfell is the main base during the two week period, were the students develop and create new art work.\u00a0The process\u00a0concludes with an exhibition in the Skaftfell gallery on Saturday January 28.<\/p>\n

Workshop collaborators are\u00a0The Dieter Roth\u00a0Academy<\/a>,\u00a0Iceland Academy of the Arts<\/a>, The Technical Museum of East Iceland<\/a>, St\u00e1lstj\u00f6rnur and various local partners.<\/p>\n
