In celebration Skaftfell’s 20th anniversary, and to fund raise for its continuing activities, the art centre is pleased to announce the launch of a suite of editions. The artists who have created the editions: Silvia B\u00e4chli & Eric Hatt<\/strong>an (Switzerland); Margr\u00e9t Bl\u00f6ndal<\/strong> (Iceland); Ragnar Kjartansson<\/strong> (Iceland); and Roman Signer<\/strong> (Switzerland) all have a connection with Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and Skaftfell.
Silvia B\u00e4chli & Eric Hattan<\/strong> lived in Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur for four months in the spring of 2008, during their time here Silvia produced work for her solo exhibition at the 2009 La Biennale di Venezia, where she was representing Switzerland; in the fall of last year Margret H. Bl\u00f6ndal<\/strong>, from Reykjav\u00edk, created an installation throughout the gallery, pollur \u2013 spegill<\/em>; while Ragnar Kjartansson<\/strong> was a part of the 2016 exhibition, the Assembly of the Hyperboreans<\/em>; while Roman Signer<\/strong> has regularly visited Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and exhibited in Skaftfell in 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
