{"id":2254,"date":"2012-06-14T11:11:45","date_gmt":"2012-06-14T11:11:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/skaftfell.avistaserver.com\/en\/?p=2254"},"modified":"2020-07-11T13:59:32","modified_gmt":"2020-07-11T13:59:32","slug":"favorite-spots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.skaftfell.is\/en\/favorite-spots\/","title":{"rendered":"FAVORITE SPOTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>17.06.-27.06.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/archive.skaftfell.is\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120614_tm_lowres.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2318\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2318\" title=\"SONY DSC\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.skaftfell.is\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/20120614_tm_lowres.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project <em>Favourite Spots<\/em> is based on the process that a resident of Sey\u00c3\u00b0isfj\u00c3\u00b6r\u00c3\u00b0ur takes the artist and his camera to their favourite spot, in and around town.\u00c2\u00a0Together they photograph at the spot and the resident\u00c2\u0092s gives their reasons as to why they chose that particular location.\u00c2\u00a0This hopefully serves as a visual catalogue of the residents&#8217; memories, thoughts, ideas and stories.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Takeshi Moro<\/strong> is Assistant Professor of Art and Art History at Santa Clara University. He has taught photography at Bowling Green State University and Otterbein University, both in Ohio. He attended Brown University, where he received his BA in 2001 and briefly worked in the field of finance. His interest in photography led him to take courses at the Rhode Island School of Design and pursue an MFA from The School\u00c2\u00a0of the Art Institute of Chicago, which\u00c2\u00a0he received in 2008.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.takeshimoro.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.takeshimoro.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The project is a part of Skaftfell&#8217;s summer exhibition series <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.skaftfell.is\/en\/skaftfell\/reaction-intermediate-2012\/\">Reaction Intermediate<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>17.06.-27.06.
