Sunday, February 25th at 4 pm, in the Skaftfell gallery where we will have a look at and listen to what the artists have been working on for the past weeks. Both paintings, soundworks and reasearch. The event will be in english and coffee and twisted doughnuts will be served. At 5 we will parade over to the Blue church where Frederik Heidemann will perform piano pieces by Colette Roper originally released by the Dieter Roth Verlag. All welcome.<br \/>\n_____<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">About the artists:<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Solveig Thoroddsen is an Icelandic artist, based in Iceland. She graduated from the master study from The Iceland University of the Arts in 2015 and has been an active artist ever since. Solveig works across media and her main subjects are rooted in interactions between man and nature. Her works also focus on society with feminist references. She has published two books of poetry and at the moment she is working on a book where she collects Icelandic folktales with female protagonists, rewriting them in modern narrative style. The book will be illustrated with her works, as she has been focusing on this theme for the recent years.\ufffd<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Frederik Heidemann is an artist working with music, performance, and radio. He is a collagist, producing diverse objects, from radio mixtapes to ringtones. During his residency at Skaftfell he will be working on the initial phases of a research project, related to the untold story of Dieter Roths musical practice, as well as his imprint Dieter Roths Familienverlag.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\u00de\u00f3rir Freyr H\u00f6skuldsson is a visual\/sound artist with a Bachelor\u2019s degree from the ArtScience Interfaculty in the Royal Academy of Art, Den Haag. His works often take the shape of performative installations where he mixes sound, visual images and the spoken word together. He founded, among others, the radio station \u00datvarp S\u00fa\u00f0arvogur.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">Fj\u00f3la Gautad\u00f3ttir is an Icelandic performer, sound designer, writer and DJ. They have a background both in classical dance and music and finished a BA in Dance and Choreography from HZT Berlin in 2019 and have since been working actively as a Sound Designer in the Berlin dance and performance scene.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">At Skaftfell \u00de\u00f3rir and Fj\u00f3la will work on a radio play set in the future, centered around a father and daughter practicing a magic show while living in a struggling desert community.
