Markus will present Icelandic artists and exhibitions dating from 1971 with a focus on visual art and ecology, environmental protection and sustainability.<\/p>\n<p>Frontiers of Solitude is an international collaboration between artists and arts organizations in three European countries: <a href=\"http:\/\/skolska28.cz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Skolska28 <\/a>(Czech Republic), <a href=\"http:\/\/ateliernord.no\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Atelier Nord<\/a> (Norway) and Skaftfell. The project focuses on current transformations of the landscape and the close connections between our post-industrial civilization and nature. The aim is to foster collaboration and an exchange of experiences between individual artists, researchers and initiatives, and to explore and interpret recent and long-term transformations of the landscape.<\/p>\n<p>The project is a joint initiative of the Skolska 28 Gallery (Deai\/setkani), the Atelier Nord, and Skaftfell &#8211; Center for Visual Art, and is supported by grant from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway through the <a href=\"http:\/\/eeagrants.org\/programme\/view\/CZ06\/PA17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">EEA grants for Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Arts<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"20150804_fos_logos\" src=\"https:\/\/archive.skaftfell.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/20150804_fos_logos.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"103\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Curator Markus \u00de\u00f3r\u00a0Andr\u00e9sson will give a lecture in Herubreid Community Centre, as a part of the international collaboration project Frontiers of Solitude.
